John Drumbo French from Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band worked with Thompson on two albums along with Fred Frith and Henry Kaiser. Those two French, Frith, Kaiser and Thompson albums led me to this. Also, Richard Thompson taught Hugh Cornwell (of The Stranglers) how to play the bass guitar in a band when they were both at the same school (Emil and The Detectives?). With a career spanning 50 years and playing with two of my heroes (French and Cornwell) Thompson has produced a fascinating EP.

I’ve just taken receipt of the CD I purchased it arrived yesterday 19th Dec 2022. However it will not play on my main Technics hifi system. I’m obviously able to play my purchase from this app. However the intent primarily was to listen to your cd on my home hifi system. I’ve carried all the necessary precautions to my cd player but I have no issue as all my cds play on the same unit. The CD rotates continually as if it’s searching for some index or start point same applies on all tracks.
